Home Sweet Home

It's so nice to be home and in my own bed. (Even though I have to do all the chores now that Braden has gone to Philmont.) :)

Summer Vacation 09 Day 3

We met up with a family that we have known since 1993. They are fellow homeschoolers and have five children that mimic the ages of our children. They have recently retired in the Las Vegas area. We had dinner with them tonight and had a great time visiting. They have a daughter the same age as Gabbie. Gabbie and Lil C got along wonderfully. We never heard a peep.

Caleb and Colby enjoying Ms. Sandra's cooking. yum, yum.

Gabbie and Lil K . Gabbie enjoying ice cream.

The young Ladies.

The older crew. It was amazing how quick are children hit it off. We have not seen them since 1998. By the way the kids got along you think we have lives next to them for years.

Summer Vacation 09 Day 2

Caleb cuddling with Gabbie before going to bed.

Caleb and Colby playing at the playground behind our hotel room.
I know the pictures are not straight but I do not know how to fix that yet. If you know how e-mail me.

Summer Vacation 09 Day 2

Mojave Desert

Last night we stayed at Edwards AFB. They have a 14 mile drive from the first sign that says welcome to Edwards till you get to the gate. Note to self, do not be low on gas....We stayed in a two bedroom duplex with a nice livingroom, a good size dining area, and a full size kitchen.

Day 2: We made our way through Mojave desert and arrived in Las Vegas to enjoy traffic. We are staying in a very small one bedroom TLF. Compared to last night it is as big as the livingroom and diningroom. Otherwise know as bonding...

Summer Vacation 09

Day 1: From Seaside to Hanford, Ca. Hanford is where Chris was born and we met Bob and Virginia Bufunda (who lived across the street from Chris' family and were close friends of Chris' parents). Chris had not been back since 1971. What an awesome time and awesome people!

The children really enjoyed themselves, and Colby really wanted one of the fake grapes on her coffee table. :)

Summer Vacation 09

Day 1- Gabbie and the boys playing in Mrs. Virginia's makeshift boxhouse!

Summer 09

Gabbie says, "Peek-a-Boo!"

Summer Vacation 09

The house where the Anglin's lived. There have only been 2 owners since 1971. We then drove from Hanford to Edwards AFB. Thanks to the TomTom, we seen the sights around the base (before getting to the correct entrance and the 14 mile entrance to the main gate)...nothing like bad directions from the TomTom.

Two Peas in a Pod

Ok, its not exactly a pod, it's a laundry basket; but it's an empty laundry basket, and empty is good in this house.

Unless it's the fridge. LOL.--Braden

New Contraption

The newest contraption that we have purchased to help corral our little guys. Of course you guys know that when we open the front door, they go in opposite directions, and so do we.

Caleb fell asleep while trying to finish off Mom's hot chocolate, on the way home from Tops and Blues. He was so tired from dancing to the music....yeah right, he ran all over the place and we had to chase him.

The view from DLI

Pics from where we sat at the Tops & Blues concert. DLI looking across at Seaside.

Tops & Blues

We might be in the land of the Army and Navy, but the Air Force Tops & Blues performed at the DLI (Defense Language Institute). They kicked butt!!!

It is a free performance for all, by active duty Air Force members. We enjoy going whenever we can.

Something you don't see everyday in Monterey

We were driving on the highway the other day, and I saw this big boat off the shore off Monterey Bay. As we passed it Chris said, "Oh yeah I forgot to tell you, it's been there for two days" Gotta Love my Man!!!

It's been four days, and it hasn't left yet. I think its waiting for me. Really, I think it is!!

Colby and the phone

Colby's new thing is talking on the phone. Today Jackie called and talked to him, followed by Grammy and Aunt Jolene. We know everyone enjoys talking to him, even though nobody understands him. We all love to listen to him.

Colby the Stock Broker

Colby talking to Grammy. We can only imagine what he's saying..."No, not GM!!! Grammy, buy Kirkland diapers."

Or, is he saying, "No Grammy, I didn't push Caleb over. It was the dog!"

Colby When he doesn't get the phone

This is what happens after you guys say goodbye. Poor Baby...

In March of this year, Braden and Kelsie, had a recital. Braden played "Sweet Child of Mine." Braden and Kelsie played a duet, "When the Saints Go Marching In." Then, Kelsie played "Morning Mood", "Solfeggietto", and "Fur Elise." A friend of the kids video filmed and put in on You Tube. Sit back, grab a drink, and a bag of popcorn and enjoy. :)
Love, JO

Update

Mom, Dad, and Gabbie just left to go take pictures of the cruise ship that's in town, the babies are asleep, and the house is quite. I'm so glad that Barney got turned off for the night. They've been watching it all day...

Colby and Caleb playing in the water and sand table, with no sand. LOL.
Yes I know Caleb is wearing a Target bag, but all the store were out of painting smocks.
Our dog, Maddie, sniffing the ground as if it's changed since we moved in or hoping the boys have dropped something. LOL

Entering the Blog world!!

Hi folks, entering the blog world is not as easy as it looks, really it isn't.

Caleb, 18 months, has been really miserable lately. Today we found out that two of his bottom teeth have broken through. Colby, also 18 months, yes twins, loves to talk on the phone. We have to hide in the bathroom when we talk, at least we can kill two birds with one stone. Don't worry, you won't hear me flush, LOL. He also thinks that every five minutes there is a hair in his mouth.
